Here's the URL: https:/ / products/ analog-classics/ piano-v/ overview UVI GRAND PIANO ARTURIA SOFTWARE Owning both PT6 and the V2 Piano, I'll have to say that the V2 improves enormously on the V1 version. There are some pretty useful presets to be found if you skipp the preset mistakes that are also plenty around. Some presets have very bad bass registers (very artificial) where others are actually not bad at all. Sometimes you have to tune back the effects a little (don't like a lot of reverb) and all-in-all the bass seems a little softer than the higher registers, but that is something that can easily be fine-tuned in the programming and settings. The underlying engine however seems to be capable of generating a very good piano sound. It is like in V1 the rendering engine was broken - ALL sounds we're terrible, especially when compared to any other SW piano or specifically PianoTeq. With V2 it is much better, but you may need some more balancing and finetuning of the preset programming.

Finetuning the sound is much easier than reprogramming the complete sound engine by the programmers, so I have good hopes and it is in V2 already pretty fun playing on several presets.īest thing is - we have no two modeling engines to choose from - PT and Arturia - which is good for competitions and faster development - and two different approaches always yield a bit different sound character, which is also good.

If PT doesn't do the job for a certain piece or player, Arturia might in that case and vice versa. So I would say Gove it a try and don't be shy to ignore all the V2 presets that are misses and concentrate on the good ones and finetune them to your taste. I agree that there are some great presets in there including some of the experimental sounds. I like the tack piano even though some fight find it a bit tacky. Many of the grand piano presets sound less synthy than Pianoteq with the caveat that they are a bit subdued.
